Frequently Asked Questions
How do i prepare for my appointment?
The only thing that you need to bring to your appointment is a valid ID, license, or passport. Before you come in you should eat something so your body has the energy and stamina to deal with the pain. If you are getting tattooed for multiple hours, you should bring snacks and a beverage. Water, coffee, and candy will be available to you as well. Be sure to wear the appropriate clothing as well. For example, e\basketball shorts would be better than skinny jeans if you are getting an upper thigh tattoo.
Do i need an appointment?
We are a shop that does appointment only, but occasionally do take walk-Ins. If you are thinking about walking in for a tattoo please call, DM, or email ahead to see if any artists have availability that day! To make an appointment.
Do I need a consultation?
For tattoo appointments it is always best to schedule a consultation first. By having a consultation, it allows for you and your artist to meet in person at the shop and discuss the tattoo you have in mind. However, if you are unsure about who is the right pick for you, our artists can give you their own recommendation. When meeting with your artist please bring in any reference material you have for the tattoo, that way your artist can get a better idea of what you would like.
How do i book an appointment?
After you have had a consultation with your chosen artist, you can make your appointment. To book the appointment please feel free to call, Dm, Email, or stop by the shop in person. You and your artist will talk about both of your availabilities and choose the perfect date/time for your tattoo. Once you have picked what date and time works best for you, you will then need to make a deposit on your tattoo appointment.
What is a deposit?
A deposit is a down payment on your tattoo. The deposit is any dollar amount that you would like to put down when you schedule your tattoo. It also secures the date, time and goes towards the end price of your tattoo. We require a $40 deposit for tattoos under 3 hours long, and $100 for tattoos over 3 hours long. Deposits are non- refundable so if you wish to reschedule your tattoo, we would need a 48 hour heads up. letting us know before hand allows you to roll over your deposit to your new appointment date. If we don't receive a 48 hour heads up, you will need to put down another deposit. Deposits can be made with cash, venmo, zelle, or cashapp.
How much will my tattoo cost?
The cost of the tattoo varies per piece. If your tattoo will take 3 hours or more, we charge by the hour. When you are in for your consultation your artist will tell you what their hourly rate is. If the tattoo takes less than 3 hours, pricing will be based by the piece.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, Zelle, Venmo, and cash-app as payment forms for the moment. Cash is our preferred form. In the future we will be accepting card.
Do you do piercings?
Unfortunately, we do not offer body piercings at our shop. We recommend getting piercings from Lalo Garcia at Tribu Piercings at the second floor of 100 N Water St. Norwalk, CT.
Can I numb the area?
If you are uncomfortable or prefer not to feel the sensations of getting a tattoo and wish to numb the area before your tattoo, that is fine by us. If you are starting a new tattoo, apply your numbing cream a half hour before your appointment then wrap the area with plastic wrap until your artist removes it. If your tattoo is already outlined and you are going in for a second session, you should apply the numbing an hour before.
How old do i have to be to get tattooed?
